Staying Sharp During These COVID Times.

We are all working our way through this Coronavirus pandemic. All of us..across the world. If it’s one this that has turned this big blue marble into a global community..it is this.

I acknowledge that surviving this is paramount..and things like the disappearance of live sports are way down on the totem poll. However..in the back of my mind, I have wondered how sports play-by-play announcers keep their skills sharp during this lull in their respective seasons.

I now have an idea,

This BBC sports announcer uses the everyday lives of his dogs to embody “the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat”.

That made me muster a smile during this very serious time.

We all are doing what we must: staying at home…social distancing…Purell (if you can find it). But it’s diversions like this…along with the love of family who now have to put up with you working from home (and do it willingly)…that make it bearable.

As the British announcers say, “Cheers!”
