The Customer (or NBA fan) is Always Right!

Stephen Curry is one of the National Basketball Association’s best on the court.

Apparently, he may have a future in public relations as well.

A young girl named Riley — just like Steph’s own daughter by the way — recently sent him a handwritten letter about a concern she had about the attire she wished to wear during her hoops season. Below is her letter.

The crux of her concern was that she and her father could not find Curry’s signature shoe specifically for her. She writes:

“My dad and I visited the Under Armour website and were disappointed to see that there were no Curry 5s for sale under the girls’ section.”

Here’s why Steph Curry is a good guy.

Instead of sending a form response from the team..or even from his own personal publicist..he sent a handwritten letter of his own back to Riley.

It addressed Riley’s question and said that action was being taken.

“I appreciate your concern and have spent the last 2 days talking to Under Armour about how we can fix this issue. Unfortunately we have labeled smaller sizes as “boys” on the website. We are correcting this now!”

The “now” is underlined twice.

He’s sending her a pair of the Curry 5s. And then…he dropped this:

“..and you’ll be one of the first kids to get the Curry 6.”

But wait..there would be more for young Riley.

“We have something special in the works for International Women’s Day on March 8th and I want you to celebrate with me! More to come on that, but plan to be in Oakland that night!

If you had any doubt about sports stars these days and how much it can be about ‘Me, me and more me!’ for them…know that there are still some really good guys and ladies out there who give back…and right wrongs.
