And just like that…it was over.
When it became apparent to me that our group of friends — expanded by spouses and children — needed to come together after so many years, it never dawned on me how much we still mean to one another.
Let’s face it…life happens. But…who we take along with us matters. The experiences that shape us matter…as do the lessons we learn along the way. From our experiences at the College of Charleston…

To the lives we lead…to the music and laughter we share and love..

to the ties that bind us.

I’ve just experienced four days that changed my life.
So…our reunion is at an end and a tentative plan exists for us to gather again (the good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise) in early 2025 when it’s a little cooler than the heart of summer.

Until then…I will invoke the sage words of perhaps the most astute philosopher among our reunion group — by the name of Henry Snow.
For quite some time, prospects of a reunion were “dark and still”. Reconnecting has made our future gathering hopes “bright and breezy”.
Thanks, young Henry, for helping us find our youthful exuberance again.
Until next time.

Oh G-man – thank you for all of your wonderful words/insights. I love how you write and how you so accurately portrayed our weekend. So beautiful! love, Janna
